Here’s a sneak peek of what Kumihimo class attendees make this coming Saturday at Ohio Beads and Gems.
This picture shows off our new Marudai (which means a round stand or stool) with colorful starter strands draped on the stand.
I’m excited to see the finished creations our class attendees make. Hope I can grab a seat myself, I have a great color mix in mind to try.
If you can string up eight strands of small sized beads by this Saturday July, 28th, there is still time for two more students to attend. Give us ring and will help get you started.

We had a “Favorite Bead Weave” class this past Thursday night. Judging by the commotion from from the class area downstairs, it must have been fun.
You can read more and see pictures of the students’ finished bracelets at the Twisted Blossom blog here.
In the pictures, you’ll see some of the new Czech Glass strands (some pressed glass, some firepolished glass) that are now up on the walls.

Create a one of kind embellished pendant while learning
peyote weaving, free form style, that is. This class is
perfect for the beginner who is interested in bead weaving,
on a smaller scale. Once you have completed your pendant,
slide it onto beaded strands leather, or your favorite ribbon.

Class size: 3 – 8 Students
Materials:
- Fireline #6
- Size 12 beading needle
- Various Sizes in seed beads: 11/o, 8/o
- Other small beads to embellish and personalize.

(This schedule says 10:30 AM to 8 PM, which is a ridiculous typo. Think more about 1.5 to 2 hours.)
